Sincere Lust 03:13
I’ve done it over and over and over and over again. Keep on coming over and slower and slowly and closer to mend. As time gets longer The bond grows stronger We’re more than just friends. And they don’t know that We can’t just show that We have to pretend. We have to pretend. Whispers are loud, and the sounds, And the sounds will drag you down. Say it out loud, and were bound, no we’re Bound to be caught right now. Now, now. Caught right now, Now, now. Shit, you’ve noticed You’re out of focus, I cannot lie. Still you stand there, I’m out of hand here, You’re by my side. You’re by my side.

I said it’s all over now that I’m done I said I’d come over just for some fun. Isn’t that right? Isn’t that right? Try to enhance things one sniff at a time. You try to romance me, you’re racking up lines. I’m out of my mind; I’m out of my mind. I’ve been enough trouble; I’ll stick to the road. To tell you the truth, no trick gets old. I’ll do it again, Keep one last old friend.

I Neglect 04:56
I neglect to deal with the issue at hand. I must walk on my own, though I can barely stand. I can’t move forward, I can’t see. Wounds rendered, they scar in threes. And I try, and I try, to look alright. M y ditch is dug and I start to feel, Dismantled, nothing can heal. How deep down inside before I let go? Everything aside, lay ten feet below. And I try, and I try, to look alright. The world will spin, I force it to cease. And I give in with great ease. Comforts on hand, identical night. Too strong to control, why should I fight? Why should I fight? And I try, and I try, to look alright.

Visions 06:49
Faces of ghosts In books and pictures and tones, Stare smiling back, Their souls are black. Wrinkles show what they know, All the smiles and frowns they’ve shown. A detailed map, time can’t be turned back A child with vision suddenly appears, Dreams of the future with hope, faith and fear. He wakes up to find that he’s not alone. First and last with reason, a mind all his own. On his own. All his own. All his own, all his own. Middle aged man finds his meaning in life. It lies not with his sisters, daughters or wife. Wrapped up in a woman he barely knows. Distanced from shame, he cries, he is alone. He’s alone, he’s alone, he’s alone. A child with vision suddenly disappears. A face in the mirror that’s aged with the years. He lays down and dies while no one’s around. He swallowed his pride, a whimper his last sound.

She said she’s okay now, she knows what to do. She said it’s been years now, and it’s not too soon. Are you prepared now, for what we’re asking of you. Will you be strong somehow, or will you have to choose? It might be harder to find your face. Five years running, you’re in a better place. Is it safe to say, she won’t break down today? Will we pretend we’ve had much better days? The light grows dim can you hear the sound? Of having no one around. Of having no one around. The light grows dim can you hear the sound? Of having no one around. Of having no one around. Time goes on, we’ve seen the ways We’ve seen the days, passing by. We’ll be okay, yes we’ll be okay, but we’ll have to lie, Down with all hope inside. Thinking we’ll find the strength, you’ve left behind.

Come away with me, to a place where we just can be. To a place we don’t have to speak. We’ll talk about everything, success and our imaginary diamond rings. And whether mutes can really sing. We’ll live in a small brick house Both of us always easily aroused We’ll spend our days naked with no one around. We’ll have nowhere else to be And it will just be you and me. Now will we take this seriously? Now will we take this seriously? Safe inside a box of stone, Propriety is mute when we’re home alone. No lecherous eyes, feeding off our white lies. No questions will be asked of us. No threesomes and no coco dust. When will we know that it’s time to let go? When will we know that it’s time to let go? Let go. What do they see? In you and me? We’re a fantasy. What does that mean? I’m a human being, not a novelty.

Wasting Away 03:10
We’re wasting away, We’re watching the waves Wash away, the other day. When we were raped, We both got laid. They had to pay, they had to pay. Leave your morals at the door. As it stands, we’re both without a man. They won’t understand. How it goes, but we both know, We have no control. We have no control. We tried our best to stay in line, We ran out of time, One at a time. You always said that you had to go, You just didn’t know, Oh how I love you so.

about

This is our debut album titled C/O A Conscience (Care Of A Conscience). Inspired by the decisions we have made, and having to deal with the emotional aftermath. Take a good look inside regret, daydreams, acceptance, failure and everything in between.
